PADI Advanced Open Water

If you have the PADI Open Water Diver course you already know the basics to perform a recreational dive in total safety, but it will be the PADI Advance Open Water Diver course to make you explore the underwater worlds! You already know how to handle simple problems that may arise during diving and how to assemble and overhaul your diving equipment before going into the water; But there is still so much to learn and explore!

Here are five reasons why you should take the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course:

1) Depth

With the Advanced Open Water Diver certificate, you can reach a depth of 30 meters (compared to the 18 m you obtained with the PADI Open Water Diver course). You will gain more experience in the water that will allow you to reduce your air consumption and go to greater depths in total safety.

2) Specialty Course

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course requires 5 dives to obtain certification, one of which will be the deep dive where you will reach 30 and the other one will be navegation. For the other 3 dives you will have the opportunity to choose the specialties! You can choose between exploring a wreck, peak performance buoyancy, learning basics on how to get great underwater photos, or diving in current or from the boat… and many more! This way you can see the activity you like the most and take, once you have finished your PADI Advanced Open Water course, also take PADI specialty certifications.

3) Discover new environments

With the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course you will gain more knowledge about diving activities, and you will be able to discover new different environments around the world with fewer depth limitations. You will feel safer diving and enjoy dives, such as night or drift dives.

4) New dive buddies

Every time you sign up for a PADI program, you will find new buddies to tackle the course and dive with and share ideas and experiences with. Your PADI instructor will be the first one you can relate to and ask him anything you can think of. Remember, there are no stupid questions!

5) PADI Rescue Diver

By completing the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, you will complete a prerequisite of the PADI Rescue Diver course, the most beautiful certification of all, and you will be closer to obtaining your PADI Divemaster.
